Many people do not understand just how dangerous it is to drive without such seats in place for their children. Imagine a person who is thrown out of his car seat at just 30 miles per hour. Because they were not wearing their seat belt they are more likely to be killed or injured. The damage can be substantial for an adult but with a child being so small, a 30 miles per hour crash can catapult them like a rocket through the seat belt harness straps flinging them around causing extensive damage to them as well as other occupants in the car.
